Chris Page is originally from Detroit, MI, and has lived and worked in New York City, Los Angeles, Paris and New Orleans. He currently resides in his adopted city of Portland, OR, and is an Adjunct Professor at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts and Southeastern Louisiana University, teaching drawing and painting to (mostly) enthusiastic students. In 2016 Chris completed an MFA in Painting from the New York Academy of Art, and also holds a Ph.D. in Historical Musicology from U.C.L.A.

His work has received many local awards, in New York and New Orleans, and has been published in many volumes, most notably in the “Stokes of Genius” series.

To paraphrase Claes Oldenburg, the artist considers himself "merely a painter trying to inflate the plane.”  Available for gallery representation, educational instruction, workshops and speaking engagements. IG: @chrispageart
